Development Officer, ACLU of Kentucky
Jay Todd Richey is a human rights advocate and fundraising professional based in the southern United States. As Development Officer for the ACLU of Kentucky, he works to meet ambitious fundraising goals to defend and expand the civil rights and civil liberties of all Kentuckians. His focus areas include LGBTQ+ justice, reproductive freedom, and criminal legal reform. Raised in rural Kentucky, he earned an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in both Political Science and Asian Religions and Cultures from Western Kentucky University (WKU). At WKU, he was a two-term student body president and student regent; recognized as the Mahurin Honors College Scholar of the Year; and served as a public affairs intern at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. He has volunteered with Louisvilleās Coalition for the Homeless and is a 2023 New Leaders Council Kentucky Fellow.
